Theme: Crossing Borders
This year's theme, Crossing Borders, suits this User Group Meeting (UGM) well because we are now including multiple countries. But Crossing Borders means a lot more than that. Epic's Electronic Patient Record (EPR):
• will facilitate boundary-breaking health care, research and education;
• will facilitate working in the chain as well as multidisciplinary cooperation;
• will support cooperation on regional, national and international levels;
• will require health care providers to break new ground (for example, switching from paper files to working with electronic health
records);
• means that hospitals will be exploring new areas, such as the introduction of a patient portal or working with mobile devices.
Who is invited to the UGM?
Employees of hospitals who are or will be working with Epic are invited. The Epic UGM is primarily aimed at health care professionals and executives, super users, EPR analysts and directors.
During the Epic UGM, we intend to inspire each other and exchange knowledge and experience. Of course, there will also be time for connecting more deeply and networking.
It's not only employees of Dutch hospitals who are invited. This year, for the first time, we are also inviting employees of a number of European hospitals.
